Day 6. The novelty is starting to wear off.
The first couple of days of not having a phone wasn’t too huge of a deal since it was the weekend and I was already playing it low key. It was nice not to be habitually checking my phone throughout the day/evenings over the long weekend (especially as I was playing it really low key at home anyways). It even counterintuitively translated into not having my laptop out in order to check my email. Day 4, returning to work on Tuesday was admittedly a challenge. I suddenly “needed” my phone. When I’m having busy days in meetings and whatnot, I rely on my phone not just for personal email, etc., but for work email and to be able to text with the colleagues that I work most closely with. That, and I love to get the picture texts from my friends and family who have babies right now.
Right now I’m missing: Yelp - I couldn’t remember the name of a bike shop I wanted to check out!
