Day 10.
I’m gracefully surviving having no phone. Skyped with the best friend, emailed with my Mom so all of that’s covered. I’m hoping that when I DO get a phone back that I’ll be much less dependent on it in terms of habitually picking it up to check the time/email, etc. But again, really enjoying being more disconnected in the sense that there’s no expectations of an immediate response to a phone call/email/text. We all know that we’ve developed that expectation of lots of people who have smartphones - that we should get an almost immediate response from them if we reach out.
But don’t get me wrong, I’m stalking Verizon and Motorola’s websites for an ‘official’ announcement of the Razr Maxx coming out. (What can I say, at the very least I miss getting picture texts of all of my family and friends babies!) Anyways, it’s supposedly coming out on the 26th and it’s the 23rd? Hmmm.
Over the weekend the apps I really missed were: Google Maps (to bike to a brunch spot that I’m only used to driving to, but which has some turns through an unfamiliar neighborhood) and my ShopSavvy app when I was picking up some things at Home Depot. I survived without the rest of them..
